In this episode of Thinking Out Loud Live, we invited Michelle Dixon to discuss how we can heal and make ourselves happy by simply listening to our body and connecting with our intuition.

Michelle is a trauma specialist and mindfulness coach with a background in bodywork for emotional healing. She started her career doing a PhD in economics during which she lived in a migrant settlement camp and witnessed intergenerational poverty, trauma, and illness firsthand.

She began her career as a practitioner doing bodywork for emotional release. What most impressed her was the body’s direct revelation of truth, often without the client speaking and even at times without their direct memory or understanding of what was happening.

Through her work, she has come to understand how the body-mind-soul is always oriented towards establishing balance and is always driven towards healing, including the release of trauma memories and thought patterns from the cells and tissues. We just have to learn how to listen!

She’d like to shout from the rooftops that the path to long-term emotional healing is paved with self-practices and processes for deeper self-knowing and self-love, which enables the client to become their own best ally.
